Managed leadership changes at Pallett Valo

TORONTO - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Bobby Sachdeva has been appointed Managing Partner at Pallett Valo LLP effective January 1, 2015.  Mississauga’s largest business law firm has taken significant steps in its succession strategy by introducing a number of changes to its leadership with the influx of additional youth alongside experience.  The firm has groomed a new generation of lawyers that are poised to take over in various leadership positions within the firm including at the practice group level and on the executive. With the support of the COO, Frances Wales, who has been with the firm for 15+ years, the firm is perfectly placed to enable the new executive team under the dynamic leadership and innovation of Bobby Sachdeva, ably supported by past Managing Partner Anne Kennedy acting as Deputy Managing Partner, to bring the firm into a new business reality.

Sachdeva, who was called to the bar in 1993, has made tremendous strides as a lawyer at the firm through his Insolvency and Litigation practice. Sachdeva joined Pallett Valo on an 8 month contract as a stand in for a maternity leave in 1995.  He founded the firm’s insolvency group in 2001 and has grown that group into one of the firm’s leading practice groups.  He gained management experience over the last few years through his involvement as Deputy Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s executive.  In 2010 he was voted Lawyer of the Year (Male), by the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of Toronto. Sachdeva was a board member of the United Way of Peel Region for 6 years and currently sits on the Providence Healthcare Foundation Board.

Additional youth has been added to the Partnership with the appointment of Craig Ross as a Partner.  Ross heads up the firm's Wills, Estates & Trusts Practice and is a member of the Estate Litigation Group and the Family Business Law Group.  He was called to the bar in 2006, and is recognized as a leading practitioner in the area of Estate and Tax Planning by the Canadian Legal LEXPERT Directory.  Ross is Vice President of the Board of Directors of Community Living Mississauga and Past President of the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Mississauga.  He is also the 2014 recipient of the Volunteer MBC John Huether Award for Volunteering Excellence.
