WeLike Releases Beta Website for Mused

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Jan. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- WeLike launches the new beta website for Mused, a social discovery platform for museums and other cultural resources. Mused will help people to discover great museums all around the world that they didn’t even know existed. The Mused Platform and the Mused App (commonly referred to as Mused) aims to educate consumers about the incredible heritage, cultural and historical resources all over the world.

The mobile apps are creatively designed with the intention to make museum and cultural experiences fun and exciting, rather than persist the disillusioned perspective that many people might envision as an antiquated, stuffy experience often found in silent art galleries. These places will be more interesting and accessible, while also encouraging repeated patronage by new- and existing-market consumers. The ultimate mission of Mused is to help individuals to explore great museums and help those museums to discover new patrons to keep their exhibits growing and doors widely open.

The Mused App will provide users with informational content, such as official photos, exhibits, museum apps, blog articles, social links, pricing and locations. User generated content includes community interactions, checkins, user profiles & timelines, photos, comments, reviews, ratings and tips.

The Mused App is built on the Mused Platform, providing it with all of the interesting content that is an aggregation of data created by admins, the community, and participating museums. The apps are intended for all consumers, including tourists, business travelers, and museum fans who are in new locations.

For museums and their staff, the Mused Platform is a modern, centralized, and scalable social & data museum platform that has the ability to aggregate museum content using a human process to ensure accuracy and data integrity. The Platform allows for museums to contribute information about their offerings, which is then disseminated to inquiring consumers via discovery and user matchmaking. As consumer use of the Mused App grows, the Platform’s ability to aggregate becomes stronger. Museums will be able to reach new markets of consumers and increase visitor foot traffic, retain new relationships, and reinforce existing ones.

In 2015, the Mused Platform will also offer subscribers and partners with an API for 3rd party applications and sites, premium subscriptions, Bluetooth beacons and interactive exhibits. These new functionalities will allow budget-centric museums to offer enhanced experiences for their visitors and get a better understanding of what their visitors are doing while on location.
