Guida's Dairy Spreads Holiday Cheer

Guida's Dairy raises over $50,000 for local non-profit organizations.
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Dec. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Guida’s Dairy spreads holiday cheer as they give back to the local community for the holiday season.  Guida’s, a farmer-owned local CT dairy, hosted their 3rd Annual Guida’s Charity Golf Invitational earlier this year at Lyman Orchards Golf Club located in Middlefield, CT.  The tournament generated over $50,000 for local non-profit organizations.  All proceeds from this year’s charitable event will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut, the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain, and Connecticut Farmland Trust.  Just in time for the holidays, Guida’s Dairy recently presented these four worthy organizations each with a check for over $11,000.

On Tuesday, November 4th, Guida’s Dairy presented a check for $11,250 to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center at their recently relocated Primary Care Center located at 76 New Britain Avenue.  SUPERCOW, Guida’s Dairy’s mascot, attended the event handing out presents and smiles to the children who were present.  The main facility of the Connecticut Children's Medical Center is a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children's hospital serving as the primary teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.  SUPERCOW makes regular visits to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center to cheer up children and their families throughout the year.

Connecticut Farmland Trust was presented with their $11,250 beneficiary check on November 20th.  Guida’s Dairy recently designated CT Farmland Trust as one of their beneficiaries this year.  Guida’s Dairy is a farmer-owned organization pleased to have the opportunity to help support local Connecticut farmers.

Thanksgiving week, the Guida’s Dairy Team and SUPERCOW surprised the children at the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain with a visit by giving out pencils, key chains, milk, chocolate milk, and high fives.  Additionally, the philanthropic company presented the New Britain Boys & Girls Club with an $11,250 check from the Guida’s Charity Golf Invitational proceeds.  The Boys & Girls Club of New Britain provides a nurturing, adult-supervised environment for young people from ages 6 to 18, a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and hope and opportunity.  Throughout the years, Guida’s Dairy has been donating various products to help enrich programs at the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain, including donating product to their upcoming holiday party for the children.

On December 4th, Guida’s Dairy also presented the Brain Injury Alliance of CT (BIAC) with a check for $11,250.  Guida’s Dairy has a long-standing history of supporting the BIAC throughout the years.  Proceeds from this year’s Guida’s Charity Golf Invitational will continue to help ensure that brain injury survivors, their families, and those who care for them have access to the resources required for optimal recovery and full community inclusion. In addition, BIAC works to reduce both the number and the severity of brain injuries by increasing public awareness and understanding through outreach and educational opportunities.

Guida’s Dairy will be holding their upcoming Annual Guida’s Charity Golf Invitational on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield, CT.  For further information on how you can make a donation, sponsor, or support Guida’s Charity Golf Invitational and / or their non-profit beneficiaries, please refer to the following websites:
