Metal Gear Marathon Raises Over $1,000 for Child's Play

The Metal Gear Marathon, a 72-hour, internet-streamed video game marathon to raise money for Child's Play, raises over $1,000 prior to beginning of event.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Dec. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- The Metal Gear Marathon, a three-day video game marathon located in Vancouver and created by a group of Canadian gamers, game journalists, and game developers, has already managed to raise over $1,000, with a day left prior to the event's starting date.

The Metal Gear Marathon is seeking to raise money for Child's Play, an international children's charity that buys games and toys for children's hospitals around North America and the world, by playing through the Metal Gear Solid series while livestreaming the entire event. for 72 straight hours, starting Dec. 27th at 2 PM (PST), the Metal Gear Marathon team will play through the Metal Gear Solid series, including numerous contests, challenges, and prize giveaways, including the grand prize of a Wii U Super Mario 3D World bundle. Despite the event not having yet begun, the charity has already managed to raise over $1,000 from Vancouver locals and the gaming public at large.
