ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Dec. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- As a doctor of naturopathy and chiropractic for nearly 40 years, Dr. Frank King is a firm believer in the value of natural medicine. He asserts that natural healing methods and safe homeopathic medicines are an affordable and effective combination for regaining and maintaining optimal health.

King outlines the problems: “Many serious diseases develop slowly over time, like a ticking time bomb,” King says. “In the United States, our society and medical system are not designed for disease prevention, but disease development and management instead. This is evident in the continued manufacture and promotion of foods and consumer products loaded with chemicals. Our medical system picks up the broken pieces later, holding people together with drugs and surgeries.”

King envisions a better way, with lifestyle and nutritional education aimed at prevention, and natural health care as its centerpiece. He experienced the benefits firsthand decades ago.

“Twice in my youth, natural health care practitioners helped me when conventional doctors couldn’t,” King says. “I was a thin and sickly child, and medical doctors were unable to uncover my problem. However, a natural practitioner discovered food allergies, and after my mother changed my diet, I became healthy and strong.”

In his late teens, a boxing accident left King’s shoulder in extreme pain. Again, the medical doctors struck out, but a chiropractor helped him dramatically in one visit. King’s future career path was set.

“After completing my chiropractic education in 1979,” he says, “I founded a holistic health center with multiple natural practitioners and modalities. Our integrative clinic became famous for helping patients with previously ‘difficult-to-treat’ symptoms. Of particular success were our breakthrough innovations in contemporary homeopathic medicine.”

This led to King establishing a homeopathic pharmaceutical manufacturing company (King Bio http://www.kingbio.com) in Asheville, N.C., 25 years ago. To date, he has formulated 500 natural medicines for everything from allergies to weight management.

Homeopathy is a two-century-old, natural health care system based upon the law of similars, a pharmacological law still used today, as evidenced by the use of allergens in allergy desensitization shots and viruses in vaccines.

However, a big difference between today’s conventional medications and homeopathy, is that in 200 years of use worldwide, homeopathic medicine has shown no known negative side effects, and no contraindications. It is one of the safest, most cost-effective, and popular forms of health care in the world.

In fact, Sweden’s government recently completed a multi-year, meta-study to evaluate the effectiveness, user satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness of homeopathic medicine. They concluded that homeopathic treatment should be included in their national health plan coverage.

In the U.S., homeopathic medicines are recognized as pharmaceutical drug products and regulated by the FDA. The average price of a homeopathic medicine is under $20.

“Our medical bill in this country is a monumental $2.9 trillion,” King says, “and chronic disease and obesity continue to rise. If we reorganize our national health priorities so that natural health care, including lifestyle and nutritional education, is front and center, we’d have less disease. Let’s put ‘health’ back into the equation, and add the word ‘natural.’ ”

“Prevention is best,” King says, “but if symptoms develop, I have found that homeopathy and natural health care are a winning combination.”
