The Chocolate 5k comes to Duke University

DURHAM, N.C. - Dec. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold The Chocolate 5k in Durham on Feb. 7 at 9:00 AM. The event will be held at Duke University (1332 Campus Dr Durham, NC 27708) and will support Cornucopia Cancer Support Center. Race registration is $30 for individuals and $25 per person for teams of 4 or more. With a $5 price increase Jan. 8. There will be a $40 walk up registration fee. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 12 and older must be registered. If you are not interested in running, we strongly encourage you to volunteer! NR Road Racing presents a chocolatey good time. We are offering you sweet treats to keep you going throughout the 5k. Yes there will still be water stations, but for those of you with a sweet tooth, you can also have a little piece of joy. Enjoy a family-friendly three mile course with your friends, family, and other choc-oholic strangers. It doesn’t matter how fast or old you are; everyone is welcome to participate and join in the fun! After the race, we’ll be still partying and filling up with chocolate. You are invited to hang out and party to the music and have some more chocolate on us! Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the party at the end!

Cornucopia Cancer Support Center, established in 1995, is a place where anyone touched by cancer can find support and resources to live life to the fullest.  Cornucopia accomplishes this by supporting the mind, body and spirit of those journeying with cancer, their families and caregivers through integrative therapies such as therapeutic massage, acupuncture, movement and exercise classes, meal and transportation assistance, individual and group support, peer-to-peer support, expressive arts, and information and resources, all in a non-clinical setting.
