COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Dec. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- When looking to remodel a current residence or previewing investment properties in the Colorado Springs area remember... master bathroom retreats are just important as gourmet kitchens. Typically receiving a 100% return on investment if done right. Bathroom designs are selling homes more now than seen previously. The design outlook for 2015 is a mix of luxury and zen minimalism. The design of the bathroom should be spa-like, but also keep the character and design of the rest of the home.

Curve-less and doorless showers are all the rage for the coming year. Not only is the design sleek and modern, it is also great for cleaning and seniors living in multi-generational homes.

Environmentally green upgrades are appreciated, especially in Colorado Springs where the southwest part of the United States is drought driven. Sleek new shower head designs save a LOT of water, the typical shower head utilizes 8 gallons of water a minute, while the new designs average 2.5 gallons per minute. A miraculous water savings considering this yields the same amount of water pressure. Low flow toilets save not only the water bill, but the community using only a little over a gallon of water per flush, instead of 7 gallons in models less than 10 years old.

The housing market is rebounding and its a good thing, because luxury accents are back. Heated floors, which are very nice during the cold winters here in the Springs are a fairly cheap way to keep warm. Chandeliers are a nice and subtle touch to add elements of style and soft light to any master bath. Beautiful and natural materials like: stone, quartz, marble, glass tile, subway tile, timber and bamboo are very popular for 2015.

Paint colors that are the rage for next year are subtle neutrals, like grays, beiges and blues. Add interesting art pieces to really pop on the subtle wall colors.

Skimping on the design of bathrooms can really hurt a return on a property and its chances of selling quickly and for top dollar. Do not skimp on presenting the master bathroom as a true retreat.
