U.S. Army Veteran Offers Free Business Directory for Veteran Owned Businesses

By: Jinger Jarrett
SALISBURY, N.C. - Dec. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Salisbury, NC, 12/23/2014 — Internet Marketer and U.S. Army veteran Jinger Jarrett built a business directory on her blog for military veterans to post free listings to advertise their businesses and charities. All listings placed by business and charity owners who are part of the veterans' community are absolutely free, and they are available to all U.S. veterans and her allied countries. Jarrett's goal is to create a resource site geared to helping veterans and their families access the resources they need.

"There are many resources in the veterans community that veterans don't know about where they could get help if they needed it. My goal is to bring all those resources together in one convenient place," Jarrett said. "Bringing all these resources together in one place will help veterans find what they need including legal and jobs resources and educational training."

Jarrett decided to make this resource available when she realized how much veterans were struggling to get help. Many veteran owned businesses didn't seem to understand how to market their businesses and get free publicity. Jarrett's goal is to make that publicity available for free while creating a resource veterans could return to again and again. Connecting veterans with veteran owned businesses also helps veterans grow their businesses more easily by connecting them with fellow veterans.

Resources available include access to free legal help, veterans owned businesses, social groups and even veteran owned charities that serve veterans. Business and charity owners are encouraged to submit their listings. Listings are generally made available within 48 hours.

Jarrett hopes to grow this resource very quickly so she can advertise it throughout the veterans' community. "It really helps me with my work in the veterans' community by having a convenient list of resources available to offer veterans to help them solve their problems. It saves valuable research time and helps me help veterans faster," she said. "Helping as many veterans as possible is important to me because there are so many veterans who are struggling and would appreciate the help."
