Great Lakes Ace Hardware Raises More Than $42,000 for Children’s Miracle Network

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Dec. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Great Lakes Ace Hardware (www.greatlakesace.com) announced that it has raised more than $42,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).

The majority of the donation was generated from a campaign during the month of November in which Great Lakes Ace Hardware stores sold icons for a donation of $1 or more.  The rest of the contribution was produced from a one-day sale on Aug. 16 that allowed customers to receive a limited edition five-gallon bucket for $5 and get another 20 percent off almost all products they could fit into the bucket.

“Ace Hardware has been a corporate sponsor of the Children's Miracle Network since 1991,” said Great Lakes Ace Hardware President Mark VandenBerg. “Our employees and neighbors have always been generous during donation drives.  Since joining the Ace cooperative, Great Lakes Ace Hardware is thrilled to have an opportunity to support such a tremendous organization.”

The money will be divided amongst several hospitals in the areas where Great Lakes Ace Hardware has stores in Michigan, including:

·      Beaumont Children’s Hospital, Royal Oak (metro Detroit locations)

·      Sparrow Hospital-Children’s Center, Lansing (Brooklyn, Jackson and Lansing locations)

·      Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Grand Rapids (Battle Creek location)

·      Mercy St. Vincent Family Care Center in Toledo, Ohio (Adrian location)
