The US Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent for the uniquely designed heart shaped split ring.
Providence, RI, December 21, 2014: Jason Tomaselli has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on his uniquely designed split ring. This new heart shaped split ring adds a touch of design to a staple component. The unique design allows businesses to provide their customers with options to easily add or remove charms to jewelry, zipper pulls on jackets, jeans, handbags, luggage or backpacks. The options are endless and the consumer can now choose where they would like to add their charms or accessories. This split ring offers businesses a new avenue for additional revenue, while allowing the consumers to accessorize what they want easily and fashionably.
“I am pleased that the USPTO has granted the patent for my new, unique, heart shaped split ring. I listened to some friends discussing their bracelets and how they wished they could add or remove charms to their bracelet easily and not worry about losing them. The charms on one of the most popular bracelets was originally attached with a closed jump ring and are now soldered. People were losing charms and in a move to resolve the issue, the company now solders the jump ring. This does not allow the consumer to add or remove charms to the bracelet, they need to buy another bracelet. This new split ring will allow companies to market charms and allow consumers to fashionably accessorize what they choose”, said Jason Tomaselli.
