Destiny Emerald is a 16-bit ‘classic' Zelda-inspired action RPG focused on tools collecting, dungeon exploring, and puzzle solving for the iOS platform. We may be wrong, but as of this time, we know of no game that is like this on iPads and iPhones. There are ARPGs on iOS, but we think the majority of them focuses on stat building and story elements. They are fun in their own way, but it is not what we are craving: a 'simpler' ARPG from the classic era with no stats to manage, no points to distribute, just unique Tools! Tools! and more Tools! All of them used to solve a multitude of puzzles. We also made sure all our monsters have unique movement and attack patterns, unlike some dungeon crawlers that rely solely on uninspiring ‘just move toward the hero’ patterns. The puzzles will be challenging. The monsters will be devious. The game will be fun. It is a game that’s everything you’ve loved about the classic action RPGs. Plus, you get to control 4 different family members each with unique abilities and tactics. Game development can be very difficult and stressful at times, and many aspiring game developers fail to ever complete a game. We have demonstrated that we have broken past that barrier, and that we have the dedication and determination to publish and deliver. This is a game for lovers of classic 8-bit action rpgs such as Zelda (the original), Crystalis, Star Tropics, heck even Fester’s Quest! It is a classic action RPG in its purest form, with 16-bit graphics and modern gameplay improvements. However, for this project we ran out of funding for the necessary artwork. And we need your help. With your help, this great game will be delivered for your enjoyment in no time! The game will be made for mobile platforms. Our first iteration will be for the iPad, with later iterations made for the iPhone and Android devices. Gameplay inspired by 80s NES action RPGs such as the Legend of Zelda. Play as 4 different family members: Berserker, Mage, Rogue, and Swordsboy, each with unique attacks and abilities. Find the Five Shards of the Destiny Emerald within a massive dungeon with hundreds of rooms! Dozens of monsters each with distinct attacks and movement patterns. Can you outsmart them all? Break blocks, bomb walls, freeze water, and burn down concealing shubbery to uncover lots of secrets and treasures!
