ATL Events Group Gives Back Bears for the Holidays

ATLANTA, GA – ATL Events Group’s team recently joined a Build-A-Bear Event at Phipps Plaza to provide for children in need this holiday season. The firm’s director of operations discussed the value of goodwill efforts.

ATLANTA - Dec. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- “For us at ATL Events Group, volunteer opportunities like this are how we live out our values of philanthropy and collaboration,” explained Brandon, the company’s director of operations. “Working with Build-A-Bear was such a great experience for us; not only was it a lot of fun, but the fact that we helped make the holiday season a little brighter for some girl or boy in need is really heartwarming.”

The event was held on December 9th and the firm’s entire team was there to lend a hand. “Large or small, we are glad to give back to the community that has done so much to support us. We are a growing organization, and in our minds that means even more opportunities to give back,” Brandon declared.

He reminisced about the variety of stuffed animals that were available for them to make, saying that Build-A-Bear is almost a misnomer. He recalled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, My Little Pony characters, and Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, as well as bears in a variety of styles and colors – including the Batman franchise. “Teddy bears weren’t nearly this cool when I was a kid,” Brandon confessed.

ATL Events Group’s Director Discusses Future Philanthropic Events, Impact of Giving Back

Following the success of the Build-A-Bear event, Brandon is now setting his sights on helping disenfranchised military veterans. “There is a great need here in Georgia to support veterans of foreign wars that, for one reason or another, fell on hard times after leaving the armed forces. These people helped defend our country, and now they’re living in the streets.”

He explained that their next community event will be to support the Veterans Empowerment Organization, which provides food, shelter, and counseling to these heroic individuals.

Brandon is proud of the efforts his team members make on behalf of the Atlanta community, and believes their altruistic spirit is a large part of their success. He points to Valerie’s recent promotion to campaign manager, which he believes happened in part because of clients who appreciated the group’s sense of civic duty and partnered with it for marketing services.

“I’m confident in my belief that our giveback efforts have led to a significant amount of growth for our team and allowed individuals like Valerie to shine. This encourages me to look for even more ways to serve. I am certain that 2015 is going to be a very exciting year for us.”
