KENOSHA, Wis. - Dec. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Sponsored by the Friends of the Museums, Frost Fest will provide free winter break activities for kids and adults! The Kenosha Public Museum collects, preserves, and interprets decorative and fine arts, natural science specimens, and cultural artifacts from around the world. Our galleries are filled with objects and information meant to facilitate learning, collaboration, and engagement. During your visit, please check out our special and permanent exhibits.

Surviving Winter

Learn about animal adaptations for surviving in the cold and keeping warm all winter. Discover how people are able to live in some of the coldest places on earth.

Ringing in the New Year

Get ready to ring in 2015! Create decorations, hats and noisemakers for your New Year's celebration.

The Kenosha Public Museum is a natural sciences and fine and decorative arts museum. With captivating site seeing along the bank of the Great Lake Michigan, this Museum has many events for families and students looking for a fun day away. Our other two locations, the Dinosaur Discovery Museum and the Civil War Museum, are located just a quick trolley car ride (adults, $1; kids ages 5-12, $0.50.) away from the main museum campus. These Wisconsin tourist attractions are a must see! Free parking is available in the scenic lot on the lake shore.  Located 25 minutes from Milwaukee and 55 minutes from Chicago, it's the perfect day trip for the whole family! Kenosha Public Museums offer a wide variety of classes and workshops for all ages. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Museums.
