Archivio Store: One of the Best Niche Fashion and Lifestyle Italian Online Retailers of 2014

The e-commerce platform presents a mix of renowned and unexposed niche Italian brands, artisans and artist creating luxury product to clients who are seeking for exclusivity and top quality.
FLORENCE, Italy - Dec. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The Florence-based e-commerce project Archivio Store was launched in May 2014 with the idea to introduce in a modern way the heritage of the genuine Italian luxury.

Antonio Civita, the co-founder of the project together with Bistoni and Stefano Zaccaria and Giuseppe explains the concept in this way: «Today, unfortunately, the fashion system is mostly aimed at gaining profit by making people buy more and more in an attempt to keep up with its crazy pace. Our idea is to create a place where people can buy items that go beyond fashion, which are timeless, have a story to tell and are precious regardless of constantly changing trends.»

The founders of the Archivio Store see luxury as a combination between artisanal tradition on the one hand, and innovative design on the other. That is why the main requirement for a product to be selected is its intrinsic value, which implies top quality of materials and executions, exclusivity of design, originality of the concept or longstanding traditions.

The has two sections representing the idea to combine seamless shopping service with the storytelling to create a “unique Archivio experience”. The first section is the online store, where one can find various items: menswear and womenswear, accessories, fragrances and jewelry, wine and food as well as pieces of art and interior design. The second section is the blog called Archivista dedicated to Italian fashion and lifestyle, which tells stories about unique products and eminent craftsmen and artists who create them.

Archivio Store was launched less than a year ago, but has already gained a substantial attention and constantly growing viewership both in Italy and abroad. The website has 60.000 unique page views monthly and the community of members subscribed to has already exceeded 7 thousand people with 200 new members joining every month only in Italy.

Although today the competition among online retailers is very tough, Archivio Store has found its niche. It is basically building a bridge between little-known artisans creating an exclusive product and customers, who are seeking for exclusivity, craftsmanship and genuine quality.

«There are a lot of little-known artisans in Italy who create a niche luxury product in the very genuine meaning of it. Unfortunately a lot of them cannot present their product in a favorable light and connect properly with a client. Thus our goal is to help producers and clients find each other», explains Antonio Civita.

At the current moment Archivio Store is collaborating with a range of renowned Italian brands, which represent Italian quality and style and, at the same time, are not over-exposed. For example, Florentine family-owned company Mossa creating jewelry since 1850, Riva Yacht famous for its legendary luxury boat Aquarama during the 70’s, and Segno Italiano working strictly with high-quality Italian artisan.

Today Archivio Store is mainly focused on reviving masterpieces of Italian design, but in the long term it is planning to export the concept by creating localized versions of in different countries of the globe and is preparing to expand on the global market. Currently the young and ambitious team is working on the development of the international brunch of Archivio Store and the English version of the website is to be launched soon.
