Greg Flahive's journal of the month of September 2010--Cynthia Renee Brown Leaves For Allen Price

The day after we returned from Marriage Bootcamp, neither Cynthia Renee Brown or Allen John Price came to work. After having called each of them that morning for about 3 hours, Cynthia finally admitted she had privately met Allen that morning. They both wanted to meet me at Peets Coffee. When I met them both, I immediately fired Allen. Cynthia then literally had a nervous breakdown and started screaming hysterically in the parking lot yelling that she 'LOVED ALLEN WITH ALL HER HEART." I finally was able to get her in the car and drive her home. She then proceeded to sink into a severe depression and did not get out of bed for 4 solid days. In the meantime, I fired Allen and told him he needed to pack his things from the office and leave.

Cynthia finally surfaced and came back to life. She then argued with me for 3 weeks saying that we were not going to fire Allen and that she loved him. I told Cynthia that Allen had been fired and he was not coming back. To appease Cynthia, I gave Allen 3 weeks severance pay so he could transition to another job. Cynthia said this was not fair and she wanted him to keep working for the law firm. I told her that wasn't going to happen and that was the end of it.

Cynthia then confronted me and said our marriage was over. This was only 2 weeks after we got back from the marriage bootcamp. She said she was going to move out immediately and started looking for an apartment. She then demanded we tell our girls immediately about the separation. I remember the day like it was yesterday--Labor Day Weekend 2010. Cynthia sat the girls down and, unemotionally, told the girls that she was moving out of the office to get her own apartment. I remember feeling like someone stuck a knife through my heart when I saw the look of complete sadness and fear on their little faces. Cynthia then soon left the house--presumably to go see Allen. Again, I Greg Flahive was left to comfort and take care of the girls like I had on so many occasions.

Cynthia and I still shared a joint banking account. Greg Flahive could see all of the rendezvous lunches she was having with Allen, enjoying her so-called "new life." She then moved out of the house on September, 16, 2010. Thereafter, she proposed that every night she would come back to the house to make the girls dinner and tuck them in!!!! How delusion was she? She hardly ever did that before--why was she going to start now? She wanted to have her fairy tale love affair with Allen but yet still come "home" and take care of the girls??!!! I told her in no uncertain terms that she was not going to do this--when I told her this, she said I was "selfish" for not letting her come over each night and cook dinner and tuck the girls in!!! I think reality started to set in that can't have a so-called love affair with Allen yet not suffer the consequences of her actions.
