L.A. Wolves FC Get Six Goals in Win over Penmar FC LA at Toyota Sports Complex

TORRANCE, Calif. - Dec. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- December 15, 2014 – The L.A. Wolves FC (6-2-1) rolled to a 6-2 victory with a win over division rival Penmar FC LA (3-1-5). The two clubs meet Saturday afternoonat Toyota Sports Complex in Torrance, Ca. as the Wolves continued their winning ways and remained undefeated in their lastsix league matches.

The Wolves opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Midfielder Diego Turoldo who converted a Penalty kick in the 15’ minute giving the Wolves the early 1-0 lead. The Wolves kept the pressure on and were rewarded by a spectacular individual effort in the 33’ minute by Wolves Columbian forward Luis Trujillo who received the ball forty yards out from goal and as he turned towards goal and saw that Penmar’s Goakleeper Mattias Galica was out a bit too much from his position, Trujillo took a screaming shot that grazed over the hands of Galica into the back of the net giving the Wolves the 2-0 lead. The Wolves finished the half with a nice goal from Forward Andre Turoldo off an assist from Midfielder Jonathan Capareloi in the 38’ minute giving the Wolves the 3-0 going into halftime.

The second half was much the same with the Wolves having most of the possession and creating more scoring opportunities. Wolves Midfielder Jonathan Capareloi opened the scoring in the 65’ minute off a nice combination of passes finishing with a hard shot from on top of the box making it 4-0. Penmar would finally respond with a goal by Duncan Bochicchio making the score 4-1 in the 70’ minute which was followed by a second goal from Penmar Jonathan McCormick making it 4-2 but that was a close as Penmar would get as the Wolves iced the game with two more goals from Wolbves Defender Yuki Kaneda in the 83’ minute and a final goal from young 17-year old Forward Daryn Houts in the 86’ minute giving the Wolves a 6-2 victory.

Yan Skwara President/GM of the L.A Wolves FC. “This game was a very good game in that we played our game from the opening whistle as the boys stuck to a solid one-two touch game which really kept Penmar on their toes and gave us possession for much of the match. Penmar was playing with several key players out due to injury but we still did what we had to do in terms of playing our game and staying discipline and getting the win. This was the type of game our club needs to be playing moving forward as we get closer to the playoffs and now we have to focus on Del Rey City FC for this coming weekend.”
