Lake Charles' Award-Winning Business Owner Hosts Small Business Saturday Video Competition

LAKE CHARLES, La. - Dec. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. The day happens every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and encourages people to shop at the small businesses that help write the story of America.

In keeping with this national day of recognizing small businesses, Michele Scism of Lake Charles, LA, continues her leaving a legacy theme, by hosting a video competition where #smallbusiness owners are encouraged to submit a video about a marketing campaign or idea that helps to grow their business.

Participants submitted the videos on #SmallBusinessSaturday and a team of small business experts evaluated and determined the winning participants.

Scism announced this week that the winner of the first annual Small Business Saturday video contest is Jacqueline Wright of NeenasMaidService.com. As a winner Jacqueline gets a $150 American Express Gift certificate - and her video will be featured in a future Entrepreneurs In Action podcast.

Danni Ackerman and Kristen Baker were runners up and will also be featured in future Entrepreneurs in Action video podcasts.
