AIDS Walk South Dallas 5th Anniversary Launch Party

DALLAS - Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX. December 10, 2014 – On Friday, December 12 from 6:30PM to 9:30PM, the historical Dallas Black Dance Theater will host the AIDS Walk South Dallas 5^th Anniversary Launch Party. This event will kick off AIDS Walk South Dallas 2015, an annual event lead once again by C.U.R.E, a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2007 resolved to combat the continuing risks and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS andpresent the historical significance of the AIDS pandemic through the exhibit of the internationally recognized AIDS Memorial Quilt

AIDS Walk South Dallas is honored and excited to welcome the legendary, Dwight Eubanks of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and Founder of Purple Door Salon in Atlanta as our special guest presented by the In Da Flow TV Show and ThaAfterParty Radio in Dallas. Guests will have an opportunity to learn all about the walk and find out how to get involved. AIDS Walk South Dallas will offer a variety of groups, nonprofits and businesses an amazing opportunity to make a difference and get your message out to the people that live and work in the Dallas area and abroad that are either infected or impacted by HIV/AIDS.

AIDS Walk South Dallas marked for Saturday, March 21, 2015, our goal is to raise $50,000 and have 500 walkers.With your help, we can achieve it! Funds raised will benefit AIDS Interfaith Network, a 26-year old HIV/AIDS service organization that works to prevent the spread of HIV and serves persons living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable populations as well as benefit Black Transmen, Inc., the first social change organization of African-American transmen focused on HIV/AIDS prevention, acknowledgement, social advocacy and empowering transmen nationally.    “With over 14, 000 people living with HIV/AIDS in Dallas County, this is not just a walk for the cause; this is about CHANGE in our community”, said Auntjuan Wiley, AWSD Founder and Event Chair , who has already begun working around the clock in an effort to gain exposure and excitement about this remarkable opportunity once again. “Until There’s a Cure” is his motto in making this event successful.

The AIDS Walk South Dallas 5^th Anniversary Launch Party is just one of many events that will take place before we make it to the starting line. Complimentary Anniversary Cocktail, Complimentary Hors d’oeuvres, Cupcakes provided by the Original Cupcakery and Amazing Giveaways available during this evening. A $20.00 donation is appreciated and automatically enters participants into a drawing for 2 tickets to a Cultural Awareness performance at the Dallas Black Dance Theater during Black History Month.
