Tom Tillery to Speak at Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants Reno Chapter Meeting
Thomas Neal Tillery, CFP®, is presenting two sessions: "Cry Havoc! Application and Enforcement of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" and "Sea-Change: Planning for Same-Sex Couples Post-DOMA" on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
The first session entitled "Cry Havoc! Application and Enforcement of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" will cover an in depth discussion of the business and individual provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA.)
Topics to be addressed are: changes to corporate documents and company policies; individual choices regarding exchanges; tax effects and AGI planning; and the ramifications of DOMA.
The second session entitled "Sea-Change:
Tom will present:
• An overview of the Supreme Court decision in the Windsor ruling and the current integrated planning environment in the U. S.
• A 'triage' work flow for firms working with same-sex couples.
• How the Supreme Court's rulings apply to employee benefits, estate planning, income tax planning, financial independence and retirement planning.
