DALLAS - Dec. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Dr. Rod Rohrich has been named one of the Best Doctors of Plastic Surgery in Dallas by D Magazine for the 17th consecutive year. The award-winning magazine has identified Dr. Rod Rohrich as one of the top plastic surgeons in the city every year since since 1998.

Through confidential online polls, D Magazine has once again invited thousands of doctors and industry professionals to identify physicians they trust and respect in over 40 specialties. Dr. Rohrich has also been recognized as a top plastic surgeon by publications including U.S. News & World Report, America’s Top Plastic Surgeons and Texas Monthly Super Docs.

Recognized both locally and nationally as an outstanding professional in the practice of plastic-cosmetic surgery, Dr. Rohrich has proven his ability to provide top-of-the line care and skill for his patients. As a Distinguished Teaching Professor of Plastic Surgery and the founding chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Rohrich teaches excellence in caring for patients and educating the next generation of plastic surgeons in the USA. He has led clinical  research teams to continuously improve the effectiveness and safety of reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. His practice in Dallas is widely recognized as one of the best facilities in the region. “My team has been consistent in its composition for over a decade and delivers exceptional patient care. This continuity paves the way for clear communication, teamwork, and compassionate delivery of health care,” says Rohrich.

Dr. Rohrich has said, “When people talk about plastic surgery they think of cosmetic surgery. Plastic surgery is really from the Greek for ’to mold’ or ’to make.’ Plastic surgery is really the best of both - Reconstructive surgery is to restore to normal and cosmetic surgery is to restore to the more natural. Doing a lot of each makes you better in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.”

Aside from his cutting-edge research and skill as a surgeon, patient care is one of Dr. Rohrich’s foremost concerns. “The doctor-patient relationship is a special partnership in which I treat all my patients with dignity and respect as unique individuals,” says Rohrich.
