BLUFFTON, S.C. - Dec. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The New River Wellness Institute is pleased to announce two series of Yoganjali Yoga Teacher Trainings with instructor Shashank Lakhia. Beginning in January 2015, students interested in yoga can experience an in-depth study of Hatha and Raja Yoga in an intimate, comfortable setting. The program will run Fridays 5-9 PM, Saturdays 10-6 PM, and Sundays 9-6 PM, January through May 2015. Enrollment is very limited; a $501 deposit is required to hold a space. For those looking to share their love of yoga through teaching, this beneficial program is not to be missed.

Individuals looking for a better understanding of yoga poses and practices will benefit from this comprehensive program. In addition to learning 84 original Asanas, students will experience principles of Prananyam, Mudras, and Bandha, along with Dosha and Chakra specific Asanas. Instructor Lakhia will also take a deep dive into the physical and psychological benefits of yoga, and how yoga therapy can affect many current health conditions. Incorporated anatomy and physiology lessons will further this understanding, along with teachings on yoga philosophy.

Additional course topics include meditation, overall self-awareness and wellbeing, and examples of the life of a yoga teacher. The program is a combination of classes, electives, homework, and selfless service. The $1900 tuition includes study materials.

Shashank Lakhia has been a yoga teacher trainer since 2006 and is accredited with the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 200/500 Hrs.). India born, his experience includes teaching meditation and the most popular yoga styles, including Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin.
