Dave Thomas Foundation Names McGladrey a Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace

CHICAGO - Dec. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the nation's largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, was recently named to the 2014 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplace list by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Since 2007, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has compiled the annual list of America's top 100 adoption-friendly employers to honor companies that offer the best adoption benefits in the country. The list is determined by an analysis of a company's adoption benefits, including the maximum amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave for employees who adopt. Companies across the country, from a wide range of industries, submit applications for consideration. In addition to ranking the top 100 overall, the Foundation also ranks companies by size in individual industry lists.

We know that these benefits are not only cost effective and build employee loyalty, but most importantly, they provide critical supports to families who adopt children in need of loving, stable homes," said Rita Soronen, President and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

McGladrey (http://www.mcgladrey.com/) offers its employees an adoption benefit that consists of expense reimbursements, paid time off from work through Parenting Leave, and support resources. All eligible employees can request reimbursement up to $5,000 in adoption-related costs per child. Employees can request parenting leave for up to 15 paid days, which can be used at their discretion (either in a block of time or intermittently) over a 12-month period. The firm also provides support resources through the Employee Assistance Program, New Parent Coach Program, Coach-on-Call, Extended Care Cash and Sittercity.
