Dec. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- November was a full of fundraising fun at EMR depots across the UK as employees embraced their charitable sides to raise money for Children in Need.

And what a result!  After just a couple of weeks of bucket shaking, cake baking and with the odd super hero thrown in for good measure, EMR people raised more than £17,000, which once matched by the company came to a grand total of £35,234.78 for the charity.

Friday November 14th saw a particular flurry of activity with EMR weighbridges and payment offices manned by Spiderman, Robin and Pudsey himself (to name just a few of the many comic book heros wandering around) to push the fundraising total.

EMR decided to get on board earlier this year and updated its payment systems to allow customers to donate directly from the value of their scrap metal.  "We are absolutely delighted with the results of our fundraising efforts.  Chidlren in Need is a great chairty and we're hopeful that the money we collected will go some way to help make a difference," said Communications Manager Emma Rimmer.
