Greece Democracy & Cradle of Civilization

“If You Were Me and Lived in Greece” is Roman’s latest book of her award winning “A Child’s Introduction to Culture Around the World” book series introducing young readers to different countries. Her books enable children to expand their awareness by learning about faraway places outside of their abode. This book emphasis Greece as “the birthplace of democracy” and the capital Athens as “the cradle of western civilization.”  This first class book provides pictures and friendly verbiage children will understand. The book is designed to inspire and educate, and includes positive life lessons young readers will learn and understand.

Greece Culture Tour

The book’s colorful pictures show Greek children presenting information about  important places in Greece;  Athens,
the Acropolis and the Parthenon. The large type makes reading easier for a child. Greek names of parents, grandparents, boys and girls are included. Children will be told about Greece history, toys, foods, clothing, holidays and activities.

This totally unique young readers’ book provides a pronunciation guide including Athens (At-thenz), Byzantine, “A style identified with ancient Greece,” (Bis-in-teen), democracy, “ a government ruled by the people,” (dem-o-cra-cee), koukla, “doll” (kook-la), Olympia, “town in Greece where the Olympics was born,” (ol-lim-pia).

Best Child Book Series

Roman’s “Mexico” children’s book, in her “A Child’s Introduction to Culture Around the World,” series last year won the prestigious Pinacle Award for “Best in Children’s Non-Fiction 2013.” No doubt this just released book about Greece will also win awards and become a best-seller. Her books meet professional standards high enough to be in every school library and in homes of parents.

Other available books in this series are titled, “If You Were Me and Lived in... Australia, France, Hungary, India, Kenya, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, and Turkey.” More books are scheduled to be released shortly.

Carole Roman is a former teacher and today is an author and businesswoman. She owns a family business with her husband. She says her “most favorite job is being a grandmother to many grandchildren.” Roman and her husband live on Long Island, New York.
