Toyota of N Charlotte hosts holiday drive for local pet rescue

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Dec. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Toyota of N Charlotte is teaming up with the North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue this holiday season. Our Toyota dealership is hosting a holiday supply drive to collecting items needed by this non-profit organization.

The North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue is a donation-funded no-kill rescue, which works to rescue dogs from abandonment and neglect. This organization has been around for 13 years and has helped more than 3,000 dogs find homes during this time.

You can join Toyota of N Charlotte in helping this local pet rescue by donating to our holiday drive. We’re collecting vital supplies the North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue needs to continue helping these animals.

The items needed include: leashes, medium or large harnesses, laundry detergent, bleach, spray cleaners with bleach, cans of squeeze cheese, blankets, dog beds, and dog crates of all sizes. We are also asking for gifts cards for Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, and gas cards.

All of these items will be donated to the North Mecklenburg Animal Shelter and can make a big difference in helping these dogs. The holiday drive will be going on from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31, 2014. A barrel is located inside Toyota of N Charlotte, where you can place your contribution.

Toyota of N Charlotte is located at 13429 Statesville Rd. in Huntersville, just off I-77 on exit 23. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 10pm; and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm.

Our N Charlotte Toyota dealership was able to award the North Mecklenburg Animal Shelter with a brand new Toyota Highlander it won through Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good in 2011. This SUV has been used to transport dogs to the vet and to their new homes.
