KINGSTON, Mass. - Dec. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Renowned Globe columnist and sports analyst Bob Ryan spoke to an overflowing crowd at Sacred Heart High School’s Flaherty Library recently. The first event in Sacred Heart’s new Authors Series program, Ryan recounted stories from his more than 4 decades covering the Boston sports scene. From Larry Bird and Red Auerbach to the 2004 Red Sox, Ryan’s anecdotes delighted the audience.

Ryan also spoke about the motivation for his new book Scribe that chronicles his career covering all of Boston’s favorite teams. Attendees were able to purchase copies of the book and have it signed personally, and had the opportunity to speak with Ryan for nearly an hour during a question-and-answer session.

The series continues on Thursday, Dec. 11, with Sacred Heart’s second Authors Series event featuring local author Art Boyle. He will discuss his book Six Months to Live, the story of his miraculous healing from Brain cancer after a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5.

Anyone wishing to attend please R.S.V.P to Janet Clifford and jclifford@sacredheartkingston.com.
