Art Basel Exhibition "Haiti Contemporary -Les Jacmeliens IV"

MIAMI - Dec. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- "Haiti Contemporary -Les Jacmeliens IV"

Miami, FL.-Haitian art is known for depicting its African and diverse roots, which reveals Haiti’s deep history and heritage. “Culture is what makes us different and also what brings us together,” said Haitian-American artist, Charles Philippe Jean-Pierre.

Jean-Pierre is an international renowned artist known for his dynamic blend of vibrant graffiti,folk, graphics and multimedia. He will feature his Neo, and Abstract Expressionism series in a solo exhibition at the Haitian Heritage Museum show entitled “ Haiti Contemporary-Les Jacmeliens IV,"during Art Basel week on December 4th at 6:30 p.m.

Haitian Heritage Museum will also conduct an “Artist Talk” on December 5th, where the participants will have a chance to meet and talk to Charles Jean Pierre. Both events will take place at the Haitian Heritage Museum located at 4141 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 105C Miami Design District.

By bridging Haitian contemporary artists from around the world with the local arts scene in the Miami Design District, this annual show will open up a cross border dialogue of vibrant artistic expressions by Haitian artists throughout the diaspora and Haiti.
