Action for Sick Children’s Christmas Fayre Set To Pull In The Crowds

STOCKPORT, U.K. - Dec. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Cheshire-based national children’s charity Action for Sick Children stages its annual fund-raising Christmas Fayre and Brass Band Concert at the Royal British Legion at Poynton next Friday (December 12).

Santa will be accompanied by some of his live reindeer when the doors open to the event at Georges Road West at 6.30 pm. And visitors will be entertained with their favourite Christmas tunes courtesy of the Hazel Grove Brass Band and the Vernon Primary School Choir (6.30 – 7.00pm).

However, if mum and dad are still looking out for that special extra Christmas gift, they can take their time and browse through the selection of Christmas gift stalls which will include names such as The Body Shop and Simon Dunn Chocolatier, alongside the Action for Sick Children’s  “pocket money presents” stall.

“The fayre runs from 6.30 to 9.30 pm so we’re hoping to be joined by supporters from across Cheshire during the evening, said Action for Sick Children’s chief executive Val  Jackson, speaking from her High Lane, Stockport HQ.

“Money raised at the event will be used to fund the on-going and vital work that is carried out by our charity.

“However, as well as boosting funds, the Christmas Fayre will be great fun for both adults and children. And all those who join us will be in no doubt that Christmas, the season of good will, has well and truly arrived.”
