MILSPRAY Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointment

 
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- MILSPRAY CEO & President, Brian Feser, announced the appointment of retired US Army Brigadier General Roosevelt Barfield to the position of Senior Business Advisor to help drive the company’s strategic objectives and ensure short and long-term success.

Barfield served in the Army for 33 years concluding his career as Deputy Director for Operations & Logistics with the US Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany. In this senior level role, he provided guidance to a 120 person, multi-level US organization with a $15 billion budget.

During his military career, Barfield served as Deputy Commander for the Combined Joint Task Force, Horn of Africa providing leadership to a 1500 person Combined Joint Task Force and military assistance to 17 African Partner Nations. As the Reserve Component Advisor for the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Homeland Defense and America’s Security Affairs (HD&ASA), Barfield provided advice to the Commanders of the Joint Task Force-National Capitol Region, the National Guard Bureau (NGB), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In his role as the Military Legislative Assistant for the US Senate, he secured approval for $600 million in military construction and recommended over $500 million in earmarks for education, hospitals and learning institutions within the state of Illinois.

Barfield most recently served as the President of ColBar Independent Consultants, Manassas, VA. ColBar is a minority, veteran-owned small business that specializes in developing strategy and marketing plans for defense and homeland security contractors. He was instrumental in helping a client win a $100 million contract for barrier force protection with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Barfield earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Human Development from the University of Kansas and a Master of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University where he graduated magna-cum laude. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University, with an expected completion date of August 2015.

In his new role, Barfield will provide leadership on business strategy and facilitate efforts to grow our business in both commercial and military markets. His substantial experience with the U.S. military will significantly support the ongoing strategic evolution of our company.
