Help for the Hungry, Toyless and Cold

YONKERS, N.Y. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- December 1, 2014, New York – The holiday season for many, means warmth from frigid temperatures, lively holiday-themed parties and a genuine spirit of cheerful giving. But for others, the upcoming season is a stark reminder of joblessness, homelessness and hunger. One local business in Yonkers, New York is raising the bar in a creative fashion to support those in the community who have found themselves at an economic disadvantage.

J. Squared Services, tax professionals for individuals and small businesses will be sponsoring their first annual Holiday Festival at the Castle Royale in Yonkers on Dec. 6^th.   The spotlight of the evening will be shining on a huge coat drive, a monetary donation to the local food bank and the all-important seasonal toy drive for children. The company’s contributions will be generously given to Toys-for-Tots of Westchester County, The Food Bank of Westchester and to New York Cares –an agency who works tirelessly each year to provide the homeless, sheltered and needy with outer warmth to brave the chill of winter.

The holiday event also brings together small businesses from around the Yonkers metro area to introduce fundamental services and sell unique products, all while stirring up an atmosphere of  compassionate camaraderie and holiday cheer. Residents, their families and friends will enjoy an evening of shopping with local vendors, games for the children and plenty of food from 6pm to 10pm on Saturday, Dec. 6^th   at

92 Waverly St (formally the Polonaise Center) in Yonkers, NY.

J. Squared Services recently held a monumental ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the grand opening of their second business location on Nov. 3^rd of this year. The official “cutting of the ribbon” was conducted by the honorable Mayor Michael Spano of Yonkers. The small boutique tax firm serves over 2,000 of the community’s residents and businesses. Joseph E. Rodriguez and Joseph A. Rodriguez, owners of the successful tax firm are looking forward to establishing this first annual holiday fundraiser as a tradition- making a difference in the lives of Yonkers residents for many years to come.
