Follow on Google News | Rollors: The Latest Sensation In World Of Lawn GamesBy: NorCal Press Rollors is the latest sensation in the world of lawn games that has folks across the nation clamoring to get back outside after a long winter. Part bocce, part horseshoes, and completely unique, it's a challenging and exciting way to engage the whole family while enjoying a little fun in the sun. From the beach to the backyard, Rollors is convenient to transport and easy to set up, providing a mobile activity that will have everyone on the edge of their seats. The game incorporates the bowling actions of bocce ball with the precision of horseshoes, resulting in the perfect blend of action and relaxation. Each carrying case is filled with two sets of colored rollers and goal posts, and can accommodate anywhere from 2-6 players. When it comes to playing the game, age is just a number. Everyone from grandmas and grandpas to tots and teens can bring their skills and style to the playing field. To get started, contestants take turns rolling the smooth circular discs and tallying up their points based on how close they come to the goals. Each disc has two different numbers on its sides that are used for calculating points depending on which value is showing when it lands. Whichever team scores 21 points is then declared the winner--complete with bragging rights. RollorsĀ® was created by Minnesota-native and U.S. Air Force Officer Matt Butler during his downtime between deployments overseas. After perfecting his prototype at local barbecues and parties, Butler started hiring out of work veterans with woodworking skills to craft the game, providing them with jobs when many were unemployed due to the recession. Since then the business has surpassed his at-home workshops, but he continues to consult with veterans on how to effectively manage their inventions and become entrepreneurs themselves.
