ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Nov. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- When the automotive world turns its attention to Pasco County in 2015, it’ll do so for Winter AutoFest.  The show runs February 19-22 at Festival Park in Zephyrhills.  The weekend, which draws over 30,000 to the facility, hosts a large automotive-themed swap meet, a car corral and two-day collector car auction presented by Carlisle Auctions.  In addition and new for 2015, the event will host a southeast regional qualifier for the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow.  This is an engine building competition where high school aged students tear down and rebuild a Chevy small block engine.

Winter AutoFest takes place Thursday through Sunday and not only does Festival Park welcome thousands of enthusiasts, but it also offers FREE parking for all who come.  Kids 12 and under are free and adult tickets cost $8 on Thursday, $10 Friday and Saturday and $5 on Sunday.  Once onsite, kids and adults alike will be immersed in decades of automotive pieces, parts, cars, trucks and collectibles, while also having the opportunity to own their own piece of automotive history.  Winter AutoFest boasts 1,400 vending spaces filled with automotive-themed merchandise for sale and a car corral where once more over 400 cars will be for sale by owner.

The real fun comes when Carlisle Auctions puts in motion its two-day collector car auction.  On Friday and Saturday of event weekend, the auction building comes to life with 300+ classics which normally span about 100 years of production.  The auction is powered by Carlisle Auctions FREE UNLESS SOLD policy.  That policy, combined with the "Spotlight Car" designation guarantees that the lot of cars made available are top of the line.  The ability to consign a car or register as a bidder is ongoing and anyone looking to be involved can learn more via www.CarlisleAuctions.com.

Along with the swap meet, car corral and auction, the aforementioned Hot Rodders of Tomorrow makes its debut at Winter AutoFest.  The premise is simple.  Teams of high school-aged students are tasked to disassemble and then rebuild a Chevy engine.  Not only will they do that, they will do it against the clock and under the watchful eye of judges.  The winner at Festival Park advances to the national finals in either Las Vegas or Indianapolis in the fall of 2015.

Finally, this event will be the final event backed by Carlisle Events at Festival Park.  Beginning in November of 2015, Carlisle Events will relocate its annual AutoFest events to the Sun n’ Fun complex in Lakeland, Florida.  The events will be re-branded as Fall Florida AutoFest and Winter Florida AutoFest.  Not only will it be a new location and venue for the Florida-based events, but they will be bigger and better than ever before.  Details on the move may be found on www.CarlisleEvents.com or by calling 717-243-7855.
