Governor Corbett Issues Letter of Support for Pennsylvania Week for the Animals Nov 29-Dec 7, 2014!

During the fun-filled week PA animal shelters, rescue groups, educators and humane organizations across the state will be hosting animal-related events in scores of locations that will be saving lives and strengthening communities.
PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- The 7th Pennsylvania Week for the Animals is scheduled from November 29-December 7, 2014. During the extraordinary governor-proclaimed week, animal shelters, rescue groups, educational institutions and humane organizations across the state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events across the state in different locations that will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities throughout the state. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens will be spotlighted all to celebrate and help animals.

Events will include adoption events, low cost spay/neuter & vaccination events, JingleFest, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, book donations, feral cat education/help for winter, horse adoptions events, pet food donations, farm animal sanctuary events, Holiday donation drives, Angel Trees for the animals, wildlife activities and therapy animals visiting hospitals & living-assisted homes.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K-9 and handlers, search & rescue orgs, vegetarian meetups, low cost vaccinations, opps to help winterize shelters, educational events and fun-filled holiday activities for families to enjoy friendship, food, music on behalf of the always amazing animals.
