Connect DFW Honors Top Reps with California Boat Cruise
IRVING, TX – The Connect DFW leadership recently sent top performers to a prestigious event in Southern California. The firm’s standout representatives had the opportunity to network with influential industry leaders.

As Rachel explained, “Our people are wined and dined throughout the cruise, and are able to network with industry leaders and peers. This provides them with a relaxed environment to build relationships and learn from the best of the best!”
When asked how the attendees were chosen, Rachel stated, “We chose our team of representatives from each division of our office based on who has made the biggest long-term impact on our company as well as one newcomer who has set the bar very high right out of the gate.” In total, eight team members were selected to accompany the president on the trip: Natalie, Cary, Kara, Taylor, Shawna, Dazell, Thomas, and Lester.
Connect DFW Highlights the Outstanding Performers Chosen for Boat Cruise
Natalie is the assistant director for Connect DFW’s marketing and sales team, and she has swiftly moved up in the company. As Rachel commented, “Her dedication and willingness to learn set her apart and she is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. Natalie has big goals and will be opening a branch location for us in Phoenix at the beginning of next year.”
Cary has been with the company for a little over two years and has displayed remarkable versatility. As the president put it, “Cary is one of the most charismatic and loyal people with whom I have ever worked. He has filled almost every role in our office but is now the managing partner for our telecom division.”
After establishing herself as one of the most consistent performers on the Connect DFW team, Kara has become the driving force behind the corporate events division. She has been instrumental in building and managing relationships with corporations and will be leading an expansion in 2015.
Taylor is a recent addition to the Connect DFW team, and she has made huge strides in a short time. As Rachel explained, “Taylor has been the leading account manager on our Dallas Mavericks campaign. Her presence has been felt in sales volume, but more importantly in her leadership of the team.”
Upon earning a promotion to Account Manager, Shawna set a goal of becoming an event coordinator with the firm. She has now been in that role for six months and continues to acquire new clients. The firm’s leadership is excited to see how far she can go.
Dazell came to Connect DFW from New Orleans, where he had been a teacher. His background in education informs his success with the firm, as he educates both consumers and less-experienced colleagues.
Thomas has brought an entrepreneurial spirit to the company, displaying resolve and tenacity in reaching his goals. He treats each challenge as a learning opportunity and consistently finds new ways to overcome obstacles.
Lester has found his niche in the telecom division by applying a student mentality to his work. He is always striving to learn more, and his determination to succeed has really paid off. Lester has become an anchor in one of Connect DFW’s fastest-growing divisions.
