Learning Event for CII’s Young Indians – ‘Mobile Advertising: Small Screen, Big Opportunity

PUNE, India - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Pune, November 10, 2014:  Extentia held a session on mobile advertising for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)’s Young Indians (YI). The event was held at Extentia Tower on Friday, November 7.

The presentation was about the shift to mobile advertising worldwide, major drivers for this trend, and the future of mobility with several examples on video.  It specifically covered:

What mobile advertising is
The facts on the medium – usage of devices worldwide, ad spend, and how people use mobile ads now
What’s driving all this
How it’s just the beginning for mobile advertising
The possibilities for advertising agencies and brands, on mobile
Relevant data and numbers were presented by Umeed Kothavala, CEO of Extentia. He also highlighted the concept of the ‘Second Screen’, and shared examples of successful mobile ad campaigns worldwide.

The session was highly interactive, with several points raised by the YI audience that evening.

Ahead of the presentation, Extentia demoed several gadgets for YI in a ‘Techquarium’ session. These included:

1.       Google Glass wearable computer

2.       Leap Motion controller

3.       3Doodler – 3D printer

4.       Neurosky MindWave – mind sensing device

The audience was encouraged to try the devices, and suggest ideas for new applications for them.

Young Indians (YI) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organization playing a proactive role in India's development process.
