Announces the 100% Donor CommitmentAccording the MORIAH’s Executive Director, Brett Bernstein, he commits that, 100% of a donor’s contribution will go to children's programming (no salaries or overhead), 100% of a donor’s tax-deductible contribution will be matched up to $25k through a generous matching grant, and 100% transparency to which program a donors funds will be designated for. MORIAH is lean and efficient and maximizes the use of every dollar our donor’s contribute. In September, a generous donor agreed to a dollar for dollar match of any donation made after May 23, 2014 and before January 1, 2015. The total fundraising goal for the campaign is $50,000. MORIAH is challenging supporters to meet the $25,000 goal by December 31st. To date, MORIAH serves children to the age of 18 years old, many of whom are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), down syndrome, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, developmental delays, speech & language impairments, attention deficit disorder (ADD), or intellectual disabilities. It is this population, that MORIAH is providing guidance and support services for children with special needs and their families in the development of interpersonal communication, relationship development, and exposure to learning. These life-enhancing resources and services are provided through the generosity of volunteers, staff, and benefactors, whose focus is on empowering children to maximize their potential.
