Lee Ermey, actor and former U.S. Marine Drill Instructor Hosts (POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – PR LOG – November 19, 2014) The award-winning home improvement show Designing Spaces will take viewers on the heart-warming journey of a military family who see the renovations of their Summerville, S.C. townhouse turn their house into a home in just five days. The three-part miniseries Designing Spaces of Hope -- Military Makeover begins airing on Lifetime TV this Friday, November 21 at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT). “Designing Spaces of Hope – Military Makeover”, presented by Nissan, will air for three consecutive Fridays, November 21, 28 and December 5 at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime and re-air January 1, 8 and 15, 2015 The series will chronicle the room-by-room renovations of the home of wounded Purple Heart recipient Stephen Lunt, his wife Ashley and their son. While in Afghanistan, Lunt was forced to fight an insurgent in hand-to-hand combat, which resulted in injuries, multiple surgeries and a long and painful recovery. Viewers will need to tune in to hear his inspiring full story. The renovations will completely change the townhome inside and out into a dream home for the Lunt’s, thanks to the generous donations of extraordinary partners who teamed up with Designing Spaces including Nissan, who for the second year provided vehicles to help move, haul and carry materials as well as support all transportation needs during the project; Operation Homefront, who provided the townhome mortgage-free, and R. Lee Ermey as host, made possible by GLOCK. Designing Spaces teamed up valued sponsors Military Benefit Association, Columbia Management, Choice Cabinets, Casablanca Fan Co., Forever, Inc., American Signature furniture, Haier America Trading, and Dorel Juvenile who were on location throughout the series to provide goods and services that ultimately transformed the Lunt house and improved their lives. “Giving back to our Military is something that Designing Spaces truly takes to heart.
