The Digital Crosshairs V series is a scope adapter that projects the recital crosshairs as seen through the scope onto a gun or scope mounted LCD monitor for targeting.  According to Mr. Johns, Chief Innovator at Digital FOV, “many hunter and sports shooters have to retire their guns because of eye problems that come with age or after some type of eye trauma, this product enables them to continue enjoying their passion for hunting or shooting”.

Many eye problems like cataracts, age related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal disorders, and corneal diseases can leave people with the inability to focus their eye through a scope’s eye piece even when the vision is correctable with contacts or eye glasses.  People 65+ in the U.S. represented 12.4% of the population in the year 2000 but are expected to grow to be 19% of the population by 2030 according to the Administration on Aging. This new offering is composed of a HD video capture device that attaches to a common scope and outputs the scope’s recticles (crosshairs) onto an LCD for targeting.  The monitor can be attached to any picatinny rail mount on the gun or scope.  The unit has a battery life of 6 to 8 hours with one charge.  The unit can be easily mounted or removed from most common rifle, crossbow, or pistol scopes with no tools.
