Jacqui Jefford of The Simone Thomas Salon in Bournemouth Judged National Event

BOURNEMOUTH, U.K. - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The Skills Show which took place at the NEC Arena in Birmingham on the 13^th to the 15^th of November is the nation’s largest skills and careers event. Hosting over 80,000 thousand visitors, the event aims to provide young people with hands-on experiences that inspire them to explore careers and find out more about the world of work. The event is also host to the WorldSkills UK national competitions where the most skilled professionals across the UK in sectors such as Engineering, Built Environment, IT and Business Administration, Social and Professional services and Cultural and Creative Arts compete to represent the UK in the International WorldSkills competition.

Local Dorset beauty expert, Jacqui Jefford, who is the Head of Beauty and Education at the Simone Thomas Salon in Westbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset brought her expertise to the national competition as a judge to those competing in the cultural and creative arts sector. Although based in Dorset, Jacqui has established herself as one of the leading authorities within the beauty industry, having worked on Fashion Weeks in London and Paris for the likes of Givenchy and Alexander McQueen. Jacqui has also had her work featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine 6 times and is one of the top Educators in the UK, closely involved with City and Guilds and HABIA on the development of the Beauty Industry and its qualifications. Currently Jacqui is also the Brand Advisor to, Made In Chelsea Star, Binki Felstead’s own brand, Binki London. As such Jacqui proudly brought her unlimited wealth of knowledge and expertise from her base in Westbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset to the national WorldSkills UK competition, where she was excited to be judging:
