Community Partners Support Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County’s Thanksgiving Services

California American Water and California Water Service Company donate to feed local families

MONTEREY, Calif. - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- California American Water and California Water Service Company have once again joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) to donate turkeys and resources for BGCMC’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Thanksgiving Food Box program.  Each year, BGCMC hosts over 1,200 people for a traditional Thanksgiving meal that they otherwise might not have.  Additionally, the Food Box Program provides 200 of BGCMC’s most in-need families with items to prepare their own holiday meal.

Donations from California American Water and California Water Service Company help ensure local families and youth have access to a healthy and hearty Thanksgiving meal.  This year, California American Water will donate 150 turkeys to BGCMC.  California Water Service Company’s gift of $1,000 will be used to purchase additional items for the dinner and food boxes, including fresh produce, side dishes, and pies.  California American Water and California Water Service Company employees will also volunteer their time to serve food to the families at the Thanksgiving Dinner.
