Follow on Google News | ![]() Needham Bank Great Hall Concert Series Sells Out “An Evening with Judy Collins”By: Needham Bank Opening for Ms. Collins was Needham High School Senior, Charles Winston. Charles performed two self-arranged renditions of classic songs. After his performance, Ms. Collins complimented Charles’ professionalism, talent, and stage presence. Before a sell-out crowd, Ms. Collins, along with her accompanist Russell Walden, performed many of her standards including Both Sides Now, Suzanne, Chelsea Morning, Send in the Clowns as well as songs from her 2013 PBS concert Live From Ireland, Danny Boy and a beautiful sing along to Amazing Grace. Needham residents John and Janet Bulian stated, “Saturday night we attended a World Class concert by Judy Collins in our own Needham Town Hall; it was an outstanding event!” Great Hall Performance Foundation President Shawn Rock said “Saturday’ Master of Ceremonies, Gil Brodsky, also announced the Needham Bank Challenge Grant. When you open an NB Checking account at the Bank’s Needham Office and mention that you are a supporter of the Great Hall Concert Series, Needham Bank will donate $100 for each new checking account to the Great Hall Performance Foundation. Mark Whalen, Needham Bank’s President and Chief Operating Officer remarked “the challenge grant is simply an extension of the support we give to the Great Hall Performance Foundation on a yearly basis. We hope that our continued partnership with the concert series will allow more wonderful concerts to grace the stage at Powers Hall.” The Needham Bank Great Hall Concert Series will continue March 21st with the Handel & Haydn Society celebrating their 200th anniversary. The season finale will be May 21st with the Berklee Silent Film Orchestra. End
