International Goodwill Prospects to Tour Southwest Florida Location

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida will soon be hosting some special visitors. The group from South Korea will be traveling to Fort Myers on November 20 and 21 to learn the ins and outs of the nonprofit, with the hopes of starting their own Goodwill in Korea.

Along with representatives from Goodwill Industries International (GII), the 6 visitors will tour the Goodwill Opportunity Center in Fort Myers.

“We are looking forward to hosting them,” says Goodwill Vice President of Retail, Robert Randall “The challenges of employment and independence are not unique to Southwest Florida, or the U.S. so we are happy to share our experience and help them on their path to opening their own Goodwill.”

During the visit they will meet with Goodwill Southwest Florida’s CEO Tom Feurig as well as other executive staff members. They will also tour the organization’s operations and transportation hubs, the Goodwill L.I.F.E. Academy charter school for students with intellectual disabilities, and Community Support Services, the department within Goodwill that oversees the nonprofit’s programs and services.

Goodwill was scheduled to host other prospective Goodwill operators from Finland earlier in the year, but the trip was cancelled after bad weather delayed their flight.
