DEADLY REVISIONS picks up more awards for acting and screenwriting!

DEADLY REVISIONS takes honors in the FANtastic Horror Film Festival and the Terror Film Festival
Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Gregory Blair’s slow-burn, psychological thriller DEADLY REVISIONS continues to rack up awards.  The film first won the EOTM Award for “Best Director of an Indie Horror Film” and then won L.A. Movie Awards for “Best Narrative Feature” as well as “Best Actor” for lead Bill Oberst, Jr.  November has brought more awards: “Best Actor” (Oberst, again) and “Best Actress (Cindy Merrill) in the FANtastic Horror Film Festival and “Best Feature Film Screenplay” in the Terror Film Festival.

“It’s exciting and a bit overwhelming” says Blair, the writer, director and co-producer of the film.  “You try to make something you hope people will like, but you never really know if it’s going to work.  And we knew we would be extremely limited by budget, which makes everything that much more difficult.  But I was lucky to attract incredibly talented people to help me and, if it weren’t for them, the film would be nothing.”

In the film, award winner Oberst, Jr. plays Grafton Torn—an amnesiac horror film writer for whom hypnotherapy and nightmares reveal terrifying images that just can’t be real.  Or can they?  As scripts write themselves, hatchets appear and disappear and people end up dead, Grafton begins to does the audience.  Award winning Merrill plays the hypnotherapist whose efforts may be helping Grafton...or making him worse.

“It was such a joy to work with Bill and Cindy and Mikhail and Lise.  They are all wonderful actors and beautiful people and their work made production magical.  I’m glad people are responding to their performances.”

The film has been picked up for North American distributuion through SGL Entertainment and will be released early 2015.

In the meatime, DEADLY REVISIONS will screen next Saturday, December 6th at noon in Dallas at the Twisted Tails Film Festival in the Angelika Film Center (5321 E Mockingbird Ln #230, Dallas, TX 75206). Tickets can be purchased at
