Community Elf Welcomes New CEO to Lead Growth and Product Launch

Rogerson Brings Strategic Focus to Pittsburgh Digital and Content Marketing Firm
 
PITTSBURGH - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Pittsburgh online marketing firm, Community Elf,recently welcomed new CEO, Scott A. Rogerson, to the company. Rogerson will be developing and executing a strategy to amplify Community Elf’s growth trajectory, focusing on the company’s social media management services and new curation tool.

Rogerson’s appointment comes several months after Community Elf’s legal split from parent company, Rent Jungle, which was acquired by The Rainmaker Group. Rogerson will replace former CEO and founder Jon Pastor, who remains with Rent Jungle and will reside as Community Elf’s Chairperson.

Community Elf is on pace to eclipse $1 million in annual revenue in 2014 with its current services well-poised for further growth. Additionally, the firm is preparing to launch its proprietary content curation technology, UpContent. This unique solution offers users a “self-serve” approach to efficiently finding engaging online content for digital marketing efforts through an advanced crawling and clustering algorithm.

Rogerson comes to Community Elf from private investment firm Oakhill Equity, where he was co-founder and Managing Director. Prior to that, Rogerson worked in the consulting field for The Hill Group, Inc. and Protiviti, Inc., advising Fortune 500 companies on strategy development and operations improvement. Rogerson serves on the Duquesne University Information Systems Management and Economics and Statistics Advisory Councils and the Board of Directors for Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. He received his MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University School of Business.
