This ultimately will allow them the freedom to be creative and become true leaders.

For the Olympia Group team leadership building doesn’t just stop at training. As Josh explained, it is also about creating the right supportive culture in order to empower people. “Individuals going from followers to leaders isn’t just about teaching them how,” he said. “It’s also about setting them up so that they can lead, and so that they can innovate.”

One of the most important things that Olympia Group does, according to Josh, is celebrate trying new things – even when they don’t work. This signals to his team that it’s more important to innovate than to stick with what’s already known. Another important step in cultural development is to encourage team victories. In doing so, the leading members of the firm are more encouraged to leverage their team than to try to succeed alone.

“It’s important to set the right expectations,” explained Josh. “While not every business leader seems to realize this, sending the right signal from the top is essential to enabling a team of innovators.”
