Paralegal Stella Mason Of Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh Honored By State College Of Florida

SARASOTA, Fla. - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Stella Mason, a paralegal with Shapiro, Goldman, Babboni & Walsh for nearly a decade was selected, and received the prestigious “Still the One” award.

Stella had graduated from State College of Florida (then known as Manatee Community College) in 1989. She had already worked as a legal assistant for over fifteen years.  She began her paralegal career working for Andy Owens who now serves as Chief Judge for the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Besides being a student in the college’s Paralegal Studies Program, Stella performed extensive research and member surveys for the Paralegal Association of Florida and helped develop the school’s curriculum. She had also taught paralegal courses part-time for Sarasota Vo Tech (now SCTI).

Upon her graduation in 1989, she joined the staff of the college as an adjunct instructor. In addition to working full time as a paralegal and teaching at the college, Stella found the time to earn her BA in Management in 2004 from Goshen College.  She also devotes time to helping animals in the community, and founded Pet Placement SPCA Inc, helping to find homes for stray and abandoned animals.

Stella Mason is still very active with the college as well as the Suncoast Chapter of the Paralegal Association of Florida. Surrounded by friends and colleagues, Stella Mason received the “Still the One”  award with over 100 people in attendance, and expressed her gratitude and thanks to all who have been a part of her successful and meaningful career.  She offered a few words of advice; to “pay it forward” and strive to get your education as it is something that no one can take away from you.
