T-Shirts and Turkeys Giveaway for the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- (Memphis, TN November 11, 2014)---In our efforts to bring the Happy back to the Holiday Season NLGM Clothing, BeU Clothing, and WRUG Media Group have come together for a T-Shirts and Turkeys giveaway. With a history of community service, they are excited to announce this event to the Memphis community. This event is dedicated to lightening the financial load for Memphis families during the holidays.  “We want to ensure that families have an opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving in the traditional way,” says Tony Ivory CEO of WRUG Media Group. The mission is simple--We seek to bring pride, unity, and smiles back to our community one T-Shirt and Turkey at a time!

Description of Event:
T-Shirts and Turkeys isn't your typical holiday giveaway. It's a day of fun and service complete with food, games and performances from nationally recognized artists. It is our goal to giveaway 100+ turkeys and t-shirts local families. We are inviting the entire family to come and take advantage of our giveaways and stay for the fun.

Event Objective:
It is imperative that beyond the free T-Shirts and Turkeys that the youth of our community see realistic images of young men succeeding despite adversity. With the average income in urban communities being $31,576 and 29% of the urban population in Memphis living below the poverty line having a traditional holiday dinner and gifts are out of the question for many.  We hope to be that change. We are three companies, ran by three very different men that want to prove to the youth that greatness is possible.  This will be an event that not only ignites the spirit of giving but the spirit of good ol’ family fun. We want all that come out to enjoy games and live entertainment.

What We Are Asking:
We are seeking turkey donations, as well as, T-Shirt donations from T-Shirt companies. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Each donation can change the holidays for several mid-south families. We are also seeking caterers and restaurants in the mid-south to donate food for the community to taste during the event.  Contact us today to let us know how you too can help.
