SEATTLE - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- A former Amazon.com advertising technology executive who was responsible for launching the Kindle Fire Tablet Ad Platform in 2012, wrote a letter to Jeff Bezos and the Amazon Board detailing areas that he believes the company needs to fix based on his experiences at the company (http://day0001.tumblr.com). Among them are issues regarding substandard employee treatment, inconsistent ethical standards as they relate to employees, customers, authors and partners, and an apparent lack of concern for Amazon's impact on the environment.

"Amazon has 14 leadership principals (http://www.amazon.com/Values-Careers-Homepage/b?ie=UTF8&node=239365011) yet there's not a single one regarding Standards for Employee Treatment, not a single one regarding Ethical Standards in dealings with Employees, Customers and Partners, and not a single one dealing with Environmental Sustainability (which is especially important in light of a recent GreenPeace study showing that Amazon Web Services (AWS) is "Stuck in Dirty Energy Past" (see http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/en/campaigns/global-warming...).

"I'm not alone in asking Amazon to add three more Principals to it's list - these are important areas for most companies and I've heard nothing but support from current Amazon employees and customers regarding these issues. I'm asking Amazon employees and customers to help craft the three new principals around Employees, Ethics, and Environment," said Varghese.

"Amazon has over 90,000 employees now, and it seems to me like at Amazon, employees are treated like nameless numbers, like Bezos-bots who are pushed to work long hours with much of the benefit going to just a handful of executives that run the company and cash out with $Millions earned from the toil of it's over-worked workforce.
