BAMA will be offering three separate scholarships in 2015 to support manufacturing education. All students enrolled/continuing enrollment in a technical school, state/community college, or a four-year university program are urged to apply.
 
TAMPA, Fla. - Nov. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Bay Area Manufacturers Association (BAMA), one of FLATE’s strategic partners, is a leading advocate supporting manufacturers and promoting economic development through manufacturing in the Tampa Bay region. To spearhead some of these efforts, every year, BAMA awards scholarships to outstanding students planning to enter educational pathways that support manufacturing in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Working with Hillsborough County Education Foundation and Pinellas Education Foundation, BAMA will be offering three separate scholarships in 2015 to support manufacturing education. All students enrolled, or continuing enrollment in a technical school, state/community college, or a four-year university program are urged to apply.

1. In Hillsborough County, BAMA is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior in Hillsborough County. Deadline to apply is Jan. 30, 2015. For more information contact Hillsborough Education Foundation, or visit www.educationfoundation.com/scholarships

2. In Pinellas County, BAMA is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Pinellas County. Deadline to apply is Jan. 15, 2015. For more information contact Pinellas Education Foundation, or visit www.pinellaseducation.org/Scholarships

3. BAMA is also directly offering an additional $1000 scholarship to a current, or future student planning to enroll at a technical school/college, state/ community college in Pinellas, Hillsborough, or Pasco counties. All students applying for the BAMA Scholarships should be planning to enter, or currently enrolled in a technical school or college, or state/community college program that supports manufacturing industries in the Tampa Bay area.

BAMA Scholarship Timeline:

March 1, 2015—Last day to submit a completed application

May 1, 2015—BAMA scholarship winners announced

June 18, 2015 — Scholarship awards dinner
