Ed Fitzgerald started selling cars in Los Angeles after World War II. In 1955, he moved to Phoenix and started Courtesy Chevrolet in an old farmhouse. A couple years later, it moved to its present facility at 12th Street and Camelback Road, and has continued to prosper and grow. In 1981, Mr. Fitzgerald became partners with William R. Gruwell. Presently, the Fitzgerald and Gruwell family members and hundreds of employees have helped build and maintain a fine reputation in the state of Arizona. They are committed to do the same in California.
